29 Dec – 3 Jan | Online | 4 × 1-hour sessions | From £60
Confidence before curriculum — calm, focused learning that sticks
SEN-aware, emotionally intelligent tutors — support for anxiety and SEN students
4-session Christmas sprint — a structured reset before mocks
A Calm Solution for a Stressful Time
Mocks come quickly after Christmas.
Most students mean to revise… but between family plans and fading motivation,
it doesn’t quite happen.
By January, they feel behind, and you feel anxious watching them doubt themselves.
That’s exactly why The Community Schools created the
Christmas Grade Booster™ sessions -
four focused, online GCSE sessions designed to turn uncertainty into readiness.
You don’t need to take over revision. You just need to give them the right guidance.

What Makes This Work?
Every Grade Booster™ session is led by experienced teachers who understand more than the curriculum — they understand the
student behind it.
We call it Confidence Before Curriculum: when students feel safe, calm, and capable, progress follows fast. Our teachers blend emotional intelligence with academic precision, helping students see where to start, how to find their focus
and walk into mocks believing, “I can do this.”
“My son moved from grade 2 to a comfortable 4 — friendly, patient tutors.”
“She went from struggling in both subjects to passing both.”
“My child’s confidence has soared — they went from anxious to proud.”

💡 Most tutoring costs £40–£60 per hour without structure or feedback.
This gives your child four teacher-led sessions, live feedback, and resources —
for less than the cost of two private lessons!
Here are the answers parents most often ask before booking a session:
Will my child stay engaged online?
Yes — every session is interactive, camera-on, and designed to keep students participating. Most prefer it once they try.
Won’t this interrupt our holiday?
No. Sessions are one hour long, spaced across six days. Enough structure to feel productive, without losing family time.
Can you support SEN learners?
Absolutely. Many of our tutors specialise in SEN and adapt their approach to each student’s needs.
What subjects are covered?
Maths, English, Sciences, Languages, Humanities, Business, and more. You can choose any mix.
Talk through your child’s confidence, focus, and subject goals -
and find a plan that helps them start January strong.
No pressure. Just a calm, expert conversation to get clarity before mocks.
Meet Claire Meadows-Smith
Founder & Lead Teacher — Maths & Further Maths (GCSE & A-Level)
If there's one thing Claire Meadows-Smith believes in, it's that no student is “bad at any subject” — they just haven't been taught in a way that makes them feel seen, heard, and capable.
For over four decades, Claire has worked quietly and consistently behind the scenes, helping hundreds of young people overcome anxiety, self-doubt, and the fear of failure. Her approach? Calm encouragement, deep subject knowledge, and a gift for explaining even the trickiest concepts with clarity and care.
Fifteen years ago, Claire started The Community Schools from her kitchen table — one tutor, a few students, and a mission: to make high-quality support feel personal, not clinical. Today, that mission lives on through a team of 50+ trusted tutors supporting over 250 learners every week, both online and in person.
Claire still teaches herself — not because she has to, but because she loves seeing the moment a student realises, “I can do this.” That moment never gets old.
In 2025, Claire’s work was recognised nationally:
🏆 Finalist – Outstanding Team Member of the Year
🏅 Shortlisted – Tuition Business of the Year (National Tutors’ Association Awards)
🎤 Keynote Speaker – National Tutors’ Association Conference, sharing her 15-year journey of building a heart-led education company.
For families looking for support they can truly trust — Claire’s door is always open.
